About Text Anvil

Text Anvil makes free tools for the everyday jobs people do with text: counting words and characters, changing case, fixing line breaks from PDFs and emails, and tidying, de-duplicating and sorting lists. Each one works as you type and runs entirely in your browser, so your words are never uploaded anywhere.

We care about counting the way people expect. Words are counted as word processors count them, an emoji or an accented letter is one character, and languages written without spaces, like Chinese and Japanese, are split into words properly. Limits that count differently, such as posts on X and text messages, are counted their own way.

Text Anvil is made and operated by QRCat, LLC, which also makes Password Anvil, Money Anvil, Number Anvil, QR Code Anvil, Pic Anvil and StaplePDF.
